Gracey LouHello, and welcome to the page dedicated to our Weimaraner, Gracey Lou. She was born on June 22, 2003, and ijust a pup right now. We picked her up from the weimaraner breeder on August 9th. We had to drive 2 hours north of Toronto to get her...which totalled out to a 13 hour drive. She was well worth it though.

Gracey LouShe's the most amazing and beautiful little girl, full of spunk and energy and sharp as a tack! She loves to chew, so we make sure she has a lot of toys to play with, so that we can hopefully save our furniture!! She also loves to cuddle, which makes Justin very happy. He wanted a lap dog, which is what he got. Of course, she's going to end up being a 70lb lap dog.

At the end of September Gracey suddenly became sick, not wanting to play, and she had a fever. After a trip to the emergency vet, she was diagnosed with HOD, a disease that large breeds (including weimaraners) sometimes get in which they grow too fast. With a weeks worth of drugs, she is doing MUCH better now. Back to her old, hyper self. For more info on HOD, read the following article.

On the page you will find a lot of pictures, since I usually go nuts with my digital camera. I also want to document her growing up, since they grow so fast. There is also a diary that we are keeping, to help keep track of her growth, and so Marcie can keep tabs on how our little girl is doing! So take a look around, and enjoy the site! If you have any questions on our pup, or weimaraners in general, please feel free to E-Mail me.
